Morning Guys! Hope you are all well and enjoying a bit of spring sunshine, I know I definitely am and the end of this lockdown cant come soon enough. I thought I would do a post for you all, just running through the skin care I am loving at the moment, because it makes me happy .... so why not!?
Since I can remember, I have always been a lover of beauty products: lotions, potions and everything make up - even though I am not the most talented at applying any of it! Ha-ha! My skin is very "normal" so I have often struggled with which brand or line of product would be suit my skin, because for example they are aimed at oily skin, or spot prone skin, which I am lucky enough not to suffer with. I do get some dry patches, but mostly I'm fairly straight forward, so I tend to opt from 'brightening' ranges because gotta GET THAT GLOW!
I am sure we have all heard so much about "skin care routine" and establishing one, so I have to reference the wonderful Lisa Potter Dixon, who if you follow on Instagram, you will know she is the QUEEN of skincare. Her blog post, which I will link for you, explains the best order to apply everything, and her cult favs.
So the order I do things roughly follows this, and I chop and change the products, as I need to.
Mornings, if you know me, aren't my thing, so my morning skin care is super basic: I cleanse with a hot cloth, spray my face with some Apricot toner from Elemis, (affiliate https://www.stylink.it/zR00Cj3LA) and just apply some This Works "morning expert" hyaluronic serum and then go straight in with my tinted moisturizer and make up for the day.
The evening is where I come alive a bit more and I love to indulge with a hot bath, and all my little potions! My 'normal' every day boring, is just to double cleanse - first with my Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, which literally melts my make-up away, its from The Body Shop and is literally so gentle that I can RUB my eyes with it and it doesn't sting or anything! Next I do my deep cleanse with my Foreo Luna Fofo (linked here, affiliate https://www.stylink.it/L5ooFVmRk), its an incredible device which I've had just over a year now, it uses skin sensors to 'read' your skin and then creates a exfoliation program for your skin. The little circular brush vibrates and the bristles get really deep into your pores to leave your skin feeling so soft!! It gets rid of that roughness skin can have, and is a must if you are applying a face-full of makeup and want an even base!
The Foreo Luna Fofo is pictures front and center, I have the turquoise-blue colour, but I do also have the UFO (another device by Foreo) which is pink, that I'll tell you about another time!
The cleanser I use with it, is simply the Nip and Fab Glycolic fix orange cleanser, which bubbles up really nicely and is fairly inexpensive. (Aff link https://www.stylink.it/4JzzsYB9M)
After cleansing I will either do a facemask (something hydrating normally like a sheet mask, or a clay mask) or I will use my UFO - which is a mask light-treatment also from Foreo (https://www.stylink.it/DR22Cq3V3 aff)
These ones I love :

· Glam Glow Glowlace Sheet Mask - affiliate

Then after that, I spritz with my toner, (Apricot Toner from Elemis https://www.stylink.it/zR00Cj3LA - affiliate), and then douse myself in the Hada labo super hydrator anti-ageing serum, which if you do follow @lisapotterdixon, you will know is also her favourite serum! Hada labo is also Japans leading skin care brand and it contains 4 types of Hyaluronic Acid ,Collagen & Retinol. I use the antiaging one, as it was recommended to me that you should after the age of 25. The full range is available from amazon, and I actually have mine on a subscribe and save. After the serum I do sometimes use another serum, because you can layer them, I like these ones :
· Murad retinol fix - aff https://www.stylink.it/BObbsqkaa
· Balance me Hyaluronic Serum - aff https://www.stylink.it/b9ddfkqzR
· Neals Yard Frankincense Intense Age-Defying Serum - aff https://www.stylink.it/Vq11sPyY7
Then I finish with the Hada labo night cream, which I bought just to try with my last amazon order, but I actually really get on with it and I will be repurchasing when it runs out! I've linked here - not affiliate.
